Course Overview
Foundations in Self-Defense is a self-paced online course taught by Lisa Davis, a U.S. Marine veteran, former Peace Officer, and 5th-degree black belt with over 40 years of martial arts experience. The course runs over 2 hours and covers fighting stances, striking techniques, escape moves for wrist grabs, choke holds, and shirt grabs, situational awareness, carjacking prevention, recognition of human trafficking warning signs and grooming tactics, and scenario-based self-defense practice. Built on the Recognize Assess Take-Action® (RAT Power) Model, it is designed for all experience levels with no prior training required.
